"From the Federation we believe that this is not the solution since it is trying to avoid that Italian fans who come from risk areas do not come to watch the game", States the Federation of Peñas in its statement.

For Azulones fans "The main airports in Spain are receiving dozens of planes a day from flights from Milan and it is possible that they have been in Spain in the carnivals of Tenerife or Gran Canaria and come to Spain to see the Fallas".

"That is why we urge Health to consider the possibility of banning flights from Italy, thus preventing possible new outbreaks in our country. If these flights were finally banned, teams of any type of sport could play at home with guarantees and in front of their public.", they confess.

Finally they point out that "It has cost a lot to get to play a European competition, the game is very important for Getafe’s history and we don’t want it to be remembered as the game that was played behind closed doors".

Pep Guardiola Leo Messi

It is impossible to talk about the team of his life, Barcelona, without naming his best player: Leo Messi. It is not the first time that Josep Guardiola assures that "Messi has been and is the best". It is not an on-air statement, since it justifies it in this way: "For continuity, for transcendence, for decisive moments. Win matches by himself".

In addition, he believes that he has learned a lot from the Argentine star: "People think that we only teach the players. However, we also learn from them". For example, the ’10’ has highlighted its competitive level: "It seems to be offline, but it never is". He has finished his praise of the Argentine saying that "it was an honor to be with him".

The one from Santpedor has spoken about its beginnings and how it felt when it became part of the Masía: "He was a kid. At 13 it’s difficult, but you end up adapting to everything". Ensures that "You don’t think about playing in the First Division at that age. You only have the illusion of playing in the FC Barcelona quarry".

Likewise, the Catalan has assured that he is privileged to dedicate himself to what he likes: "Get up every morning, go to what you want to do and have fun. Working on something you don’t like must be the worst".

The former Barcelona coach has stressed that what he is most passionate about about football is "how unpredictable it is". "You can intuit game situations, but the attack is so open, so wide, that each action is different. We, as coaches, try to bring them closer to making the best decision based on what is happening".

This allows the player to react to "different problems, different systems, different game changes. Even different weather situations. And the one I like is the one who makes the right decision depending on the moment".

Guardiola: "I want Messi to continue at Barça"

The citizen left the Barça club eight seasons ago, but he has not forgotten the most successful stage of his sports career.

Leo Messi showed, once again, that he is as crack off the pitch as he is inside. And that’s saying a lot. The Barça captain went, after training, to the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital for the act of laying the first stone of the SDJ Pediatric Cancer Center in Barcelona.

Messi says it’s a "dream come true" to help launch Pediatric Cancer Center

“It is a pleasure to be here today, for me it is a very happy, extraordinary moment, to be able to be part of this project and see it become a reality,” commented an excited Leo Messi when it was his turn to go on stage. “I thank everyone who has collaborated and we hope that the children can continue to fight this cruel disease as cancer. I am very happy to be able to fulfill this dream ”, he concluded.

The illusion of the little ones

The presence of Messi, how could it be otherwise, generated great media expectation and what is more important, caused great illusion in hospitalized children. The events began in the morning with various solidarity and very emotional activities, and the FC Barcelona Foundation, among the major donors, was represented by Jordi Cardoner, first vice president of the Barça club.

After announcing that 27.8 million euros had been raised in a year and eight months, it was precisely Cardoner who later revealed that “this project is already finished. They just confirmed it for me while we waited ”, which was answered with great applause.

At the same time, he added that “it is not an end point”, since scholarships and all the facilities will be given to those with fewer resources. This children’s cancer center will be one of the largest and most important at the international level and has received outstanding foundational donations, as well as at a private level thanks to multiple initiatives.

Maximum involvement

Leo Messi has been fully involved in this project through its foundation and was even seen to appear some time ago in a campaign and celebrated a goal by making the gesture on his face that symbolizes ‘the brave’, the infants who fight against this sickness.

Sadly, three of the four children who were photographed at that time with Leo are no longer with us, as was very movingly recalled.

With Lego pieces and the collaboration of the main donors, the expression “For the brave” was constructed. A very special help was requested to finish it, and it was when Leo Messi appeared, accompanied and held by the hand by two little ones, those in charge of finishing the sentence.

“It’s my turn (to play Lego)" Messi said with a smile. Little Alicia put the last piece next to Leo and an explosion of color and illusion began.

The UEFA Executive Committee, meeting in videoconference, will live this Thursday one of its most important sessions of the last decade, as it will try to find the possible formulas, if circumstances finally allow it, to finish the competitions of the 2019-2020 season , both nationals and the Champions League and the Europa League, paralyzed and still with an uncertain future due to the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Executive’s unanimous feeling is clear: try to finish the 2019-20 competitions, although some countries (Belgium, the Netherlands) have already announced the closure of their national tournaments. And although there are still many doubts and uncertainties about the advance of the pandemic or the decisions that the respective governments will adopt on the return to a "certain normality" within its territory, and how this will affect sport in general, in this case, football in particular.

For this, it is thought of ‘activating’ the summer months (July, August), in other years dedicated to mere tournaments of preparation and start of seasons), delaying the start of the next campaign.

Ending the competitions in progress, which have been paralyzed for almost two months in some countries, is the almost unanimous feeling of UEFA, clubs and Professional Leagues.
